This was a case that I built based on the Hellraiser puzzle cube from the movie.

I won Rig of the Year from Maximum PC in 2001.

A lot has changed in the past 22 years. Now you can buy almost anything off the shelf and computers are far more sophisticated now. This thing doesn’t even run anymore.

I have an itch to build something new.

I got inspired by this chest in our bedroom. I liked the wood and brass like the Hellraiser Cube from the movie.
I started with a gatorfoam prototype
I got some connectors and hinges
I made photocopies of the motherboard
I also made copies of the hard drive
The copies of the power supply helped me guess how much room I had to work with.
LED lights weren’t commonly available like they are now
I’m not good at soldering

I cut the square acrylic bar
Heat of the saw melted the acrylic
