Week 1: TU 1/21 Syllabus briefing, Outline objective for the class, General discussion. Assign Infographic (Project I)
TH 1/23 Progress Critique on Infographic projects. In Class work time, individual meetings.
January 27 Last day to add courses, switch sections, change courses, change from audit to credit. Final day to drop or withdraw and receive a 100 percent refund
Week 2: TU 1/28 Progress Critique on Infographic projects. In Class work time, individual meetings.
TH 1/30 Progress Critique on Infographic projects. In Class work time, individual meetings.
Week 3: TU 2/4
TH 2/6 In Class work time, individual meetings.
Week 4: TU 2/11 In class work time. Small group critique.
TH 2/13 In class work time, make revisions based on the feedback from the critique.
Week 5: TU 2/18 Final critique (Project I)
TH 2/20 Assign Print & Interactive Design “How to” Instructional Graphic. (Project II)Start research and gather needed information.
Week 6: TU 2/25 Bring proposal concept drawings to class. Individual discussion; concept development.
TH 2/27
February 28 Final day to completely withdraw from all classes and receive a 50 percent refund. Only 50%
refunds will be processed at this time. No other refunds after this day.
Week 7: TU 3/4

Week 8: TU 3/11 Assign logo analysis and design (Project III)

Week 10: TU 4/1 Scale drawing and exercises. Discussion envoronmental design.
TH 4/3 Assign Identity & Wayfinding (project IV). Wayfinding overview. Reading assignment.
Week 11: TU 4/8 Signage techniques, Typography in the environment.
TH 4/10 Scale drawing exercises due. Individual discussion, Research, Logo development
Week 12: TU 4/15 Team break outs. In class work time, develop production plans and schedule with teams
TH 4/17 Walk Margorie Barrick areas, lecture, take notes, photos, discussion with team
Week 13: TU 4/22 Develop location maps & sightline analysis
TH 4/24 SIgn schedules, locations, and cartoons due
Week 14: TU 4/29 In class work time; refine elevations. work on process book as necessary.
TH 5/1 Team presentations and critique,
Week 15: TU 5/6 Refine and extend designs and renderings, write specifications, support drawings, callouts etc.
TH 5/8 Develop and practice final pitch and check specs.
Week 16: TU 5/13 10:10 am Final Team Presentations
TH 5/15 Semester Ends
